Mythical Beast
To create this mythical beast, I used a mask which I then collaged together. I took an image of a deer and an image of a beagle and opened them on two separate documents on Photoshop. I then went to the deer page and used the quick selection tool to outline each antler. Once I had joined the line outlining it, I clicked the mask icon which eliminated the background. Next, I chose 'Duplicate Layer' from the layer Menu and from the dialogue box I selected the Beagle document so the antlers would be copied onto this. I then went onto my beagle page and found the image of the antlers was already there. Finally, I resized the antlers to fit the beagle and my mythical beast was complete.
Overall, I am happy with my final mythical creature however, I should have used a clear image as the beagle was quite out of focus and blurry. It was also difficult drawing around the antlers as they were so thin and had some many points to them. I like the way the antlers project from the image and come above the edge of it.
