Adobe InDesign Flyer
Adobe InDesign Flyer
Today, we practiced using Adobe InDesign, with the aim of creating a flyer for a Hair and Beauty Academy.Firstly, we had to look at laying out the photographs and pasting them into a frame which could either be a rectangle, a circle or a hexagon. I chose to do the main photograph in a circle so that it stands out and gives it a more classic and sophisticated appearance. I wanted to include the other our images as I felt examples of hair styling was important to show on the flyer, due to this being a more visual thing. I then added the writing. I wanted all the writing to be clear and easy to read, so I only made the title in a slightly more curved and fancy font. I also made sure key information was either bigger or bolder than the rest, so it would stand out, making it easier for the reader to find. I made one section of writing in italics as I felt it was necessary to go on, however it wasn't relevant to someone looking at the flyer for key information.
Overall, I think that my flyer looks quite neat and well laid out, however I would have liked to change the background to something subtle, but more than white. For example a light blue or light purple. I also found that the images didn't have a great resolution, but I don't think this is too noticeable. I also like how the flyer is very clear, simple and yet informative. I think that the circular frame could have been slightly smaller as well, because it comes quite far down the page and close to the writing underneath.
